Melissa was called to the Bar in 2024 after a 15 year career as a solicitor in private practice.

Prior to commencing at the Bar, Melissa was a Special Counsel at a WorkCover and Queensland Government panel law firm and had previously managed a regional office of a national plaintiff personal injury law firm.

Melissa represents both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury, (including all facets of workers’ compensation, motor vehicle and public liability matters) historical institutional abuse and medical negligence. She also has experience in workers’ compensation regulatory matters, workers’ compensation fraud prosecutions and dust diseases.

Melissa has been recognized by Best Lawyers in the Insurance Law category since 2020.
