Ian Erskine was admitted as a Barrister of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1992, after substantial experience at a large local Brisbane law firm.  Ian has a broad practice with a particular focus on commercial and corporate disputes, consumer law and wills and estates.  He has appeared in Commonwealth and State Courts at all levels.

Ian has years of experience in matters in the Queensland Supreme Court and Court of Appeal; the New South Wales Supreme Court; and the Federal Court and Full Federal Court.

His knowledge of the common law, statutory law and equitable principles is extensive.  His commitment to continuing legal education is demonstrated by his membership of STEP.

He has extensive advocacy experience at both trial and appellate level. He appears regularly as an advocate in the civil jurisdictions.

He has interests in music, art and history.
